Prince George

On July 22nd the nation welcomed the arrival of Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge. Accross the country, and indeed the world, people picked up their paintbrushes and started to create commemorative china and pottery. We are stocking hand sponged mugs by Emma Bridgewater made in Stoke on Trent, English Spode plates and mug and Royal Worcester pieces, again decorated in the UK. Stock is limited so please contact us if you want something reserved.

One of our best selling ranges is the large multiframes that you can now see propped up against the counter. These make great presents and are a fabulous way to display groups of photos - family, friends, a wedding or holiday.Prices range from £30 - £75.

Pilgrim jewellery

Last week we received delivery of a very small box. It's true that the best things often come in small packages because this was our new collection of beautiful, sparkly Pilgrim jewellery! The company now seems to be going back to their original themes and have put all their more quirky high fashiion plastic and skull pieces into a separate collection. We have chosen a few simple necklaces (I've worn one for three days in a row with different outfits) and lots of their popular earrings priced from £5.99. All come in a Pilgrim gauze bag and of course can be gift wrapped.

August Offer

Once again this is a newsletter subscriber offer only and won't be advertised in the shop. Just mention the August newsletter before you buy. The offer runs until the end of August.

A great way to buy a couple of presents and end up with something for yourself or perhaps more appealing - buy two things for you and get one free to give away!  This range is very reasonable and the earrings are great (dare I mention it?) for stocking fillers.

Spring trends

A week or so ago I attended Pure - a trade show at Olympia in London. This show is for fashion buyers and has hundreds of stands showing clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories. Certain trends for Spring / Summer 2014 stood out even to my untrained eye - lots of lace, retro 1950's, tea dresses and large graphic prints on tops and dresses. Orange is back again as well as a beautiful azure blue and black and white. Mini and structured bags are still in and with jewellery there seem to be lots of elongated necklaces and bigger, busier, almost tribal jewellery.

Introducing - Shona Easton

We met up with Shona at Pure and are looking forward to getting in more of her bags and accessories in September.

Shona designed bags, jewellery and accessories for well known brands before setting up her own design studio in 1996 and launching the Shona Easton label in 2002. Shona's brand offers classically designed, affordable leather bags and accessories which are timeless and customers return again and again to buy from her range - a favourite at Casa Fina.
