We have started to receive our Christmas stock and it's SO exciting! We are trying to hide the pieces for the window but will admit to rather a lot sneaking out, particularly our gorgeous Egyptian baubles which are already sellimg fast. We have new hand blown candlesticks and vases to add to the collection. In addition to tree decorations we will be stocking the usual wreaths and garlands and have a great collection of light strings to cheer up the house on those autumn eveings.
Our big Christmas window will be going in on Sunday October 27th with the little one being created this week.
This year the sparkle has rather gone to our heads and we will be presenting two rather whacky takes on Christmas that we hope will both amuse and delight.
This year we will be decorating the beautiful Arundells for Chistmas. The house will be open Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from November 28th to December 15th. Entry is the usual £7.50 and there will be workshops and carols on various days so do check out their website. Our Casa Fina 'Christmas at Arundells' on 27th November is SOLD OUT. We do have a waiting list for the evening.
Late night shopping
We will be open until 8pm on Thursday 5th December along with many of Salisbury's independent businesses. We hope that you'll join us for some relaxed Christmas shopping.
Remember that we'll wrap all your gifts so that's one less job to do when you get home.
Exclusive opening evenings
If you are in a group of over 25 people planning a Christmas party in Salisbury why not contact us to arrange an exclusive shopping opportunity before your meal. We'll open up especially for you.
You can enjoy a festive glass of fizz while you choose your Christmas gifts and decorations. These can all be wrapped for you and we can even talk about delivery to your place of work the following day. Just email or call us to discuss this further.
This year we are again going to decorate a tree as part of the St Thomas' Christmas Tree Festival. This is a not to be missed celebration and takes place from 3rd to 8th December.
Last year our tree was decrated with doves and Salisbury Cathedral baubles to remember Les Colombes from 2018.
We love glass as any visitor to Casa Fina will see. Our collection of antique and vintage pieces is ever changing but we will usually have a good selection of champagne saucers, vases, preserve jars and custard cups. Many of these are plain or cut glass but others are etched or engraved. The difference between an etched pattern and an engraved one is that etching uses an acid to eat away at the surface of the glass while engraving cuts into the glass to create the design either by hand or machine.
